The financial scholarships will pay for their classes or a percentage thereof. Classes are normally $10 a class, so with an average of 4 classes a day during a 6- month period, the highest scholarship awarded would be $7200.00. The scholarship goes directly to the school and the teachers to pay for the classes. If the receiving party does not utilize the scholarship, or falls short on his/her responsibilities to receive the scholarship, it is passed on to the next selected applicant. Proper utilization of the scholarship is evaluated weekly. The scholarship remains in effect for a 6-month period of time. Any and all individuals are welcome to take classes at the school. However, in order to be eligible for a scholarship, the student must meet the following requirements: A) Show proof of their parent's combined income being less that $50,000 or $30,000 for a single parent. B) The student must maintain a Grade point average of 3.0 or above. C) If the student is in the 11th grade or higher, they must report their SAT Scores, which must be 1000 or above, and a list of universities applied to or post graduate plans. D) The student must submit an application essay, not to exceed 2 pages, as to why: 1 They are interested in attending Sybarite Production's Artist Development Center 2 Why they feel they deserve a scholarship 3 What their plans are for the next 5 years and why they have this plan in mind. E) The student must audition in person or send in an audition performance on DVD. The number of grants given annually is based on the number of grants that the organization receives. The amount of each of the grant is determined on the student's family income and the amount of weekly classes they are committed to taking. There will be a weekly evaluation of each student who receives a scholarship. The student is responsible to turn in a copy of their report card for evaluation. If the terms of the award are violated the scholarship will be revoked and granted to the next eligible recipient. The board of members serve as the selection committee for the scholarships. |
